Serra dos Órgãos ("Organs Range", "Range of the Organs") is a mountain range in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, which was turned into a national park in 1939. It is located about a one-hour drive from the city of Rio de Janeiro.
The National Park of the Organ Mountains is one of the best places in the country to practice mountain sports such as climbing, hiking, rappelling and others, in addition to fantastic waterfalls. The park has the largest network of trails in Brazil. There are over 130 kilometers of trails at all difficulty levels: from the trail, accessible to wheelchair users, to the heavy-Teresópolis Crossing Petropolis, 30 km of ascents and descents through the top part of the mountains. Among the highlights was climbing the Finger of God, considered the landmark for the escalation in the country, and the Devil's Needle, chosen one of the 15 best rock climbing in the world.
